This is the home of the Royal Blue Band from Cold Springs High School, located in Bremen, Alabama. Cold Springs is in the Cullman County School district. This website is where you can keep up with the band's activities throughout the school year.
Thanks for a great concert week, everyone! I'm really proud of the work these students put in. I'm happy to teach such a great group of kids!
That was our last big event of the semester. Everything starts to winds down from here, BUT we still need students at school every day. We need to be in band EVERY DAY! We have Cullman County Honor Band and Alabama Music Performance Assessment coming up, so that's what we will be preparing for during these final two weeks of the semester.
We will continue Monday Tutoring for the Beginning Band, but we will have no more after-school rehearsals for high school band until next semester.
Our annual field trip to see the Alabama Winds "Sounds of the Season" concert is this coming Sunday. Sorry I had forgotten to put that on the calendar before now. More details on that event below!
Monday Tutoring
We will continue our Monday Tutoring for Beginning Band for the rest of the semester. I know there are only two weeks left in the semester, but it is very important that we continue to push forward until Christmas break!
Alabama Winds Field Trip(NOT Mandatory)
I am a member of the Alabama Winds, which is the premiere concert band of Alabama. It is a concert band comprised of band directors and professional musicians from Alabama. If you've never seen a concert band of this caliber, I highly recommend coming out to this concert. It's a cool experience.
Sunday, we (Cold Springs) are taking a field trip to see the Alabama Winds "Sounds of the Season" concert. This is not mandatory. It is open to students and parents alike! You can ride the bus with your child and come with us! This concert is FREE. You'll only need money to pay for Olive Garden after. This is mainly for the High School Band student, however Beginner Band students can attend if they have a parent or guardian in attendance with them.
Attire: Students should dress similar to our concert: Semi-formal Christmas attire. This is a somewhat dressy event. Jeans are fine, but make sure they're nice jeans. Don't be wearing ripped and frayed clothes. NO shorts, sweats, PJs, or flip flops. Sneakers and tennis shoes are fine.
Food: We will not eat before we depart so make sure students have already had lunch. Students will need money to eat at Olive Garden after the concert. $20-$30 is plenty to send with your child.

Back to CSH: 9pm
